After 30 days of demonetisation, people across India are still struggling with cash crunch. One can say PM Modi has brought the common man on to the roads and they are standing in a line.
Getting your own money out of the Banks is a big issue and if you get Rs 10000 with great difficulty, there is no change. Overnight you cannot go digital.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today blamed PM Modi for the troubles and said that Pay TM is nothing but Pay to Modi. The entire opposition has protested and called it as a black day.
Most of the ATMS running out of cash or half-shuttered, people are facing immense problem to avail their hard-earned money. Poor people are in great trouble and even beggars are starved of money as there is no change. People are at the mercy of cashiers and Banks.
PM Modi had asked for 50 days but even after 30 days there is little or no improvement. We still have to stand in long queues in banks and there is no cash in ATMs.
The reality is that Rs 2000 note which cannot be used to buy bread, banana or vegetables with it. There is huge shortage of lower denomination notes in the market.
However, banks have been claiming that situation has improved and ATMs are being calibrated to dispense new notes.
We have received second lot of Rs 500 notes on Tuesday and as soon as they will reach banks and things will certainly move towards normalisation,” said general manager of RBI, Sarada Prasanna.
Traders said the business has reduced by 50% as demonetisation has badly affected the purchasing capacity of people.
After government stopped accepting Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes at petrol pumps from December 2, transportation has suffered badly.
But the shortage of essential commodities has not been felt because people have reduced their consumption it looks like. The issue cannot be resolved even in 3 months time.
