Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated Duvvada Jagannadham(DJ) released to a strong opening worldwide on Friday.
It is a hit already. People say it is a good entertainer laced with comedy.
Duvvada Jagannadham (DJ) has decent blend of comedy and action. Though the movie is a typical revenge story wherein the protagonist aims to contain bad guys and bad things in society, the ‘Brahmin’ framework woven around it and a scam that affected lakhs of people in both the Telugu states makes the movie fresh and contemporary.
Allu boy puts up an amazing show of his acting talent providing the audience back-to-back entertainment. His dancing ability has gone up very high.
Allu tries to rescue the investors in Agri Diamond who lost their hard earned money, without a direct references to the multi-crore AgriGold scam though. His role reminds you Junior NTR’s in Adurs, but Bunny as Sastry was successful enough to create his own signature as a Panthulu who happens to be a traditional cook.Comedy is decent and it’s in almost every scene from start to end. Even the climax is comedy based.
Bunny’s “Sabya samaajaaniki… message”, “Bezawada lo paina Ammavaru , Kindha Kammavaru,” kind of dailogues get into the audience minds.
Gadilo Badilo Madilo, Saranam Bhaje Bhaje and Mecchuko songs already became chartbusters and are up to the expectations.
Allu Arjun excels as DJ. Harish Shankar’s powerful punch dialogues including well written double entendres, Devisri Prasad’s excellent background score and melodious tunes and good production values make DJ a nice movie to watch, at least once.
The other cast including the heroine Pooja Hegde, Rao Ramesh as villain, Vennela Kishore comedy with excellent timing go seamlessly with the overall performance.
On the whole, Duvvada Jagannadham(DJ) is a good watch for sure.– Though Allu Arjun is decent in Brahmin role, he couldn’t go near NTR’s performance in Adurs. – Allu Arjun completely changes his style towards pre-climax, wears a funky hair style and dressing.
Music by Devisri Prasad is impressive and he is popular for his foot-tapping music for mega heroes. He lived up to the expectations when it came to the album. Pooja Hegde added the much-needed glamour quotient which could be one of the attractions of the film to bring youngsters to theatres apart from mega fans provided, the concept of the movie turns out to be engaging combined by a tight narration.
One can see all the right ingredients added to this dish called ‘DJ’ and what is left to see if these ingredients were added in proper proportions to make it a delicious one. Producer Dil Raju left no stone upturned in the name of promotions and he is popular for the strategies he plans for promoting his films and thus winning half the match before the play begins.
