{"id":96344,"date":"2017-07-05T10:21:21","date_gmt":"2017-07-05T04:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=96344"},"modified":"2017-07-05T10:21:21","modified_gmt":"2017-07-05T04:51:21","slug":"subsidised-lpg-rate-goes-up-after-gst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/subsidised-lpg-rate-goes-up-after-gst\/","title":{"rendered":"Subsidised LPG rate goes up after GST"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Domestic cooking gas (LPG) price has been hiked by up to Rs 32 per cylinder &#8212; the steepest increase in six years &#8212; following implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Subsidised LPG rates have been increased to Rs 477.46 per 14.2-kg cylinder from Rs 446.65 in Delhi after GST was implemented from July 1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the previous indirect tax regime where separate factory-gate duty and sales tax were levied, LPG attracted a zero or nil excise duty all over the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-96346 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/604407_thump.jpg\" alt=\"Subsidised LPG rate goes up after GST\" width=\"557\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">VAT or sales tax was nil in Delhi as well as Chandigarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and some north-eastern states. It ranged from 1 percent to 5 percent in other states.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The rate of non-subsidised LPG, which consumers pay after exhausting their quota of below-market priced bottles, went up by Rs 11.5 to Rs 564.
