It looks like Babu is frustrated. The first was is intolerance when he removed the former CS IYR Krishna rao from a Chairman post for posting against his Government in Social media now he is directly attacking the public not to use his welfare schemes and the infrastructure provided by his Government.<\/p>\n

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has asked party leaders to demand votes from people, controversially saying at a function that those who do not like his government, a big namaskaram for them- symbolically suggesting he wants nothing to do with them.He asked people not to travel on the roads built by his administration or forgo pensions given by his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou want to enjoy pensions given by me and travel on the roads built by my government. But you don\u2019t want to vote for me. How is it justified?\u201d he asked at a party function in Kurnool district\u2019s Nandyal.<\/p>\n

“You are taking the pension I am giving, using roads we have built, taking rations that we give, benefiting from our schemes, then why should you not support us politically?” he said, while addressing partymen in Nandyala in Kurnool district on Thursday. If you don\u2019t like my government, don\u2019t take the pensions and don\u2019t use the roads,\u201d he said.
\nThe TDP president asked party leaders to demand votes from the people since the government was doing a lot for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they don\u2019t vote for us, ask them why \u2026 even after getting so many benefits from us. I will not hesitate to ignore such villages that don\u2019t vote for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

By-elections will be held soon for the Nandyala assembly seat, made vacant by the death of a legislator from Mr Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party earlier this year, and the ruling party faces a tough challenge from Jaganmohan Reddy’s YSR Congress. Mr Naidu was admonishing TDP workers for failing to consolidate the party’s influence in some areas of the constituency when he made the comments.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister talked about other political parties handing out cash to bribe voters during elections and stressed that the TDP will not do that. “Some people use corrupt means by giving money to voters. I too can give voters 5,000 rupees but I will not do that, it’s not my policy,” he said.<\/p>\n

Party leaders, Naidu said, must demand votes from people since the government has done a lot for them, urging partymen to educate the people about government schemes and policies. But he also warned, “I will not hesitate to ignore the villages which don’t vote for us.”<\/p>\n

Babu has reason to be nervous about the by-election in Nandyala. It is a YSR Congress stronghold and Bhuma Nagireddy, the legislator who died, had won as a candidate from that party in 2014. He later joined the TDP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
