\u201cIt was shocking to see such messages. And this kind of situation is being faced by thousands of women every day,\u201d Sharmistha Mukherjee told.She said all the messages landed on her account on Friday from the account of a man who calls himself Partha Mandal.<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst I thought of blocking or ignoring him. Then I thought why should I feel ashamed of sharing such posts because I am not guilty,\u201d she said.\u201cSuch people will take advantage of silence. That\u2019s why I chose to speak up.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Congress leader, who fought the 2015 assembly elections in Delhi, said she made her profile public after joining politics in order to get suggestions and complaints from people.She said she will also lodge a complaint against Mandal with the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t want any special attention from the police for being the daughter of the President,\u201d she quickly added.\u201cThe police must have many such cases.
