The event witnessed biggest ever gathering of Telangana families and friends in Greater Toronto Area with more than 600 enthusiastic participants. The evening started off with lamp lighting, Games pooja \/ dance, India &amp; Canada National anthems followed by a two minute silence in honor of the Telangana martyrs. A distinct Telangana flavour highlighted right from the beginning to the end with everyone\u2019s participation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-86881 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/DSC_0609.jpg\" alt=\" Greater Toronto\" width=\"993\" height=\"662\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/DSC_0609.jpg 993w, https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/DSC_0609-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 993px) 100vw, 993px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Programmes were filled with lots of song and dance performances from several local Telangana participants including children and authentic Telangana dinner with many traditional dishes was also served at the event. Mr. Akkapali Uttam Kumar native of Bhodhan in Telangana who flourished as an outstanding businessman in Canada was presented with the prestigious \u201cOutstanding Entrepreneurship\u201d award. Arshed Ghori,Treasurer \u2013 Keesra Mahendar Reddy, Joint Treasurer \u2013 Kolanu Srinivas and various other committees with Chairs and co-chairs were announced. Established in 2005, TDF, Canada is a federally registered not-for profit organization formed by the Telangana Non Resident Indians (TNRIs) living in Canada to preserve the cultural identity and contribute to its development.
