{"id":84704,"date":"2017-05-20T09:05:18","date_gmt":"2017-05-20T03:35:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=84704"},"modified":"2017-05-20T09:05:18","modified_gmt":"2017-05-20T03:35:18","slug":"ts-druggists-bandh-e-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/ts-druggists-bandh-e-sales\/","title":{"rendered":"TS druggists bandh against e-sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Telangana Chemists and Druggists Association (TTCDA) will take part in a bandh on May 30 called by All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists to protest against online pharmacy and sale of medicines through e-portals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The TTCDA, said, \u201cWe are urging the governments at the Centre and at the state to not allow the e-retail system in medicals as it would be a lot of inconvenience to customers. In many villages and remote areas basic infrastructure like power and Internet connection are missing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-84707\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/close-medical.jpg\" alt=\"TS druggists bandh against e-sales\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/close-medical.jpg 800w, https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/close-medical-768x384.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When a patient walks in to a pharmacy to buy medicines, he will have to wait for a longer time till the retailer finishes the formalities of doing online registration and giving away the medicines, so the process is time consuming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">S. Venkatapathi, president of TTCDA said, \u201cOnline sellers do not have licenses and they do not comply with norms set by the Medical Council of India (MCI).\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He noted, \u201cThe Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 (Rule 1945) Section 64(2) provides certain parameters for issuing licenses by which is neglected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The proposed additional fee for operational charges or operating E-platform will be an extra burden on retailers and wholesalers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Telangana Chemists and Druggists Association (TTCDA) will take part in a bandh on May 30 called by All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists to protest against online pharmacy and sale of medicines through e-portals.
