Additionally, a person familiar on the matter told WSJ, \u201cWe are beginning initial production of a small number of iPhone SE in Bengaluru. We\u2019ll begin shipping to domestic customers this month.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>India has the second-highest number of mobile phone accounts behind China. With sales slowing down in the key market China, Apple is eyeing on India to ramp-up its growth.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-84466 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/apple-event-sept9-2015-iphone6splus-3263.jpg\" alt=\"     iPhones to cost 100$ less\" width=\"608\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/apple-event-sept9-2015-iphone6splus-3263.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/apple-event-sept9-2015-iphone6splus-3263-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 608px) 100vw, 608px\" \/><br \/>\nApple holds 10 per cent of smartphone market in India, according to market researcher Counterpoint, and faces tough competition from arch-rival Samsung and other Chinese and local brands.<\/p>\n<p>Although the publication notes that the \u2018Made in India\u2019 iPhone SE models could cost as much as $100 (approx.
