There are reports that some of them cannot do a surgery without having a booze.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More than 50% physicians have been found to have uncontrolled hypertension or high blood pressure (BP) despite taking hypertensive medicines, owing to high-stress levels, says a study.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hypertension is one of the most common lifestyle diseases prevalent today with one in three Indian adults suffering from it and is equally widespread in the medical fraternity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-84153\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/maxresdefault-5.jpg\" alt=\"Half of the doctors have hypertension\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/maxresdefault-5.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/maxresdefault-5-500x280.jpg 500w, https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/maxresdefault-5-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, it is often misdiagnosed given the difference in blood pressure readings at home and in a clinical setting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The findings found that 56% of doctors suffered from irregular BP at night and 21% from masked hypertension \u2013 a condition in which a patient\u2019s blood pressure reading is inaccurate due to specific environments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This masked hypertension is also associated with an increased long-term risk of sustained hypertension and cardiovascular morbidity, the study said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over 50% physicians had uncontrolled hypertension despite taking hypertensive medicines. While 21% of the doctors surveyed had masked hypertension or isolated ambulatory hypertension, another 56% doctors suffered from irregular BP pattern at night making them prone to future adverse cardiac events,\u201d said Indian Medical Association (IMA) President KK Aggarwal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The doctors are supposed to cure us of our medical tensions.
