{"id":78315,"date":"2017-04-18T18:11:35","date_gmt":"2017-04-18T12:41:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=78315"},"modified":"2017-04-18T18:18:28","modified_gmt":"2017-04-18T12:48:28","slug":"normal-monsoon-in-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/normal-monsoon-in-india\/","title":{"rendered":"Normal Monsoon in India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">India will see normal monsoon this year, the India Meteorological Department said on Tuesday, indicating timely arrival and even distribution of the seasonal rains that are crucial to the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It will be the second consecutive year with normal rain after India suffered back-to-back drought in 2014-15, only the fourth consecutive failed monsoons in over a century that hurt incomes and drove many farmers to suicide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-78316 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/1476190203-2448.jpg\" alt=\"Normal Monsoon in India\" width=\"620\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIndia is in for a normal monsoon which will be good for agriculture and economy,\u201d KJ Ramesh, the director general of IMD, told reporters in the long-range forecast for 2017. IMD issues another updated forecast in June.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The forecast is also critical to the government\u2019s hopes of achieving a projected growth rate of more than 7.5%.
