{"id":77869,"date":"2017-04-16T14:47:27","date_gmt":"2017-04-16T09:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=77869"},"modified":"2017-04-16T14:47:27","modified_gmt":"2017-04-16T09:17:27","slug":"high-alert-chennai-hyd-mumbai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/high-alert-chennai-hyd-mumbai\/","title":{"rendered":"High alert in Chennai, Hyd and Mumbai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Security at three major international airports in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai has been stepped up after agencies were informed about a possible hijack attempt of an aircraft from these facilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Officials said an high alert has been issued to the three facilities after Mumbai Police received an e-mail last night from a woman living there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-77870 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/606655_thump.jpg\" alt=\"High alert in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai,Terror strikes, hijack\" width=\"437\" height=\"328\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The e-mail mentions that the woman overheard six boys talking about a possible aircraft hijack attempt at these facilities, they said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Mumbai Police shared the e-mail with all security and intelligence agencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A meeting of all stakeholders at these airports was subsequently convened and the input was declared specific and actionable, they said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-77871 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/download-2.jpg\" alt=\"download\" width=\"509\" height=\"286\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CISF Director General O P Singh confirmed to PTI that the security apparatus at these airports has been put on &#8220;an enhanced alert and protocols have been stepped up&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Special anti-sabotage sweeps are being undertaken at these airports since morning and security agencies, includingthe Central Industrial Security Force, have enhanced frisking of passengers, baggage scanning, pre-emabarkation checks and patrols in the vicinity of the airports, they said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Security at three major international airports in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai has been stepped up after agencies were informed about a possible hijack attempt of an aircraft from these facilities.
