Speaking against Trump has costed Madonna the pop icon. Following Madonna\u2019s Women\u2019s March on Washington speech — the one in which she told the crowd that she \u201cthought a lot about blowing up the White House\u201d — a Texas, radio station has banned the pop star\u2019s music.<\/p>\n

HITS 105 will remove the outspoken singer from its airwaves \u201cindefinitely\u201d, Billboard reported.<\/p>\n

Terry Thomas, the station manager, said, \u201cBanning all Madonna songs at HITS 105 is not a matter of politics, it\u2019s a matter of patriotism. It just feels wrong to us to be playing Madonna songs and paying her royalties when the artist has shown un-American sentiments.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf all stations playing Madonna took their lead from us, that would send a powerful economic message to Madonna.\u201dMadonna spoke out against Donald Trump during a speech at the Women\u2019s March in Washington DC.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, I\u2019m angry,\u201d she told the crowd. \u201cYes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House. But I know this won\u2019t change anything. We cannot fall into despair.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Madonna urged her detractors to \u201cunderstand my speech in its entirety rather than one phrase taken wildly out of context.\u201d\u201cI am not a violent person. I do not promote violence,\u201d she wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n
