President Trump and Prime Minister Modi resolved that the United States and India stand shoulder-to-shoulder in the global fight against terrorism,\u201d said the statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Addressing an event organised by the Republican Hindu Coalition in October last, Mr. Trump had said that he \u201clooked forward to working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi,\u201d whom he described as \u201cvery energetic in reforming India\u2019s bureaucracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGreat man. I applaud him for doing so.\u201d Mr. Trump had said.
