Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s signature short-sleeve kurtas and colourful jackets have become a fad at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit with a company putting up a stall here to sell \u2018Modi Kurta\u2019 and \u2018Modi Jackets\u2019<\/p>\n

The biennial investor meet, touted as \u2018Davos of the East\u2019, has a host of companies putting up pavilions but the eye catcher is a stall by Jade Blue selling \u2018Modi Kurta\u2019 and \u2018Modi Jacket\u2019.<\/p>\n

The interesting thing that Modi revealed about the short sleeved Kurta was that he reduced them to half hands so that he need not press the entire sleeve while he is ironing them and washing also becomes easy. But that has become a brand by itself now.<\/p>\n

The idea is not so much to clinch huge sales but rather to showcase and create awareness about the offerings, said a store representative.<\/p>\n

The stall, he said, has generated an overwhelming interest among Indian as well as foreign delegates. In fact, the stall here even sold a few Modi jackets to foreign delegates within hours of setting up.<\/p>\n

Both Modi Kurta and Modi jacket are registered brands and are also available at Jade Blue stores across the country.<\/p>\n

Priced at about Rs. 1,595 for Kurta and about Rs. 5,900 for jackets, the brand is also available online on e-commerce platforms.<\/p>\n

Another attraction at the stall is the selfie stand where customers can click a selfie with a Modi\u2019s cut out. Earlier the youth thought that the half jacket was for old people, but ever since Modi has been wearing it, there is huge business for these jackets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
