{"id":435,"date":"2016-08-09T13:46:41","date_gmt":"2016-08-09T13:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=435"},"modified":"2016-08-09T13:46:41","modified_gmt":"2016-08-09T13:46:41","slug":"modi-appeals-for-peace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/modi-appeals-for-peace\/","title":{"rendered":"Modi appeals for peace\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi <span class=\"aBn\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Tuesday<\/span><\/span> reached out to the people of turbulent Kashmir and indicated willingness to hold dialogue under the framework of \u2019insaniyat (humanity), jamhuriyat (democracy) and \u2018Kashmiriyat\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Breaking his silence on the over-a-month-long unrest which has claimed more than 55 lives, Mr. Modi said it was painful to see that innocent youngsters, who should be holding laptops, book and cricket bats, have been given stones and appealed to them for maintaining peace and harmony in the \u201cheaven\u201d on earth.<\/p>\n<p>He said Kashmir has the freedom which is felt by Indians everywhere and asserted that the Mehbooba Mufti government and the Centre are working together to solve the State\u2019s difficulties but some people, who are unable to digest it, are clinging onto the path to destruction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister he had adopted the path of \u2018insaniyat, jamhuriyat and Kashmiriyat\u2019 and we walk the same road. I want to tell the brothers and sisters of Kashmir from this great birthplace of Chandra Shekhar Azad that Kashmir has the same strength that has been given to (other parts of) India by our freedom fighters. Kashmir has the same freedom that every Indian feels,\u201d Mr. Modi noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, one feels pained to see that innocent youths have been handed stones. Politics of some people is clicking, but what will happen to these gullible and simple youths? Humanity and \u2018Kashmiriyat\u2019 will not be allowed to be hit. The path of democracy and dialogue is there,\u201d the Prime Minister told a public meeting in Bhabra, the birthplace of Azad.<\/p>\n<p>Making an impassioned appeal to the youths of Kashmir, Mr. Modi said they should keep the place as the heaven on the earth.He hailed other political parties, especially the Congress, for speaking in one voice on the Kashmir issue, calling it the strength of India. \u201cWe would like to move forward with this strength,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Asserting that the State government, in which the BJP is a partner, along with the central dispensation, is working towards the State\u2019s development, he said his government would do everything in this regard and will help lawyers, doctors, those depending on tourism and apple growers in their endeavours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reached out to the people of turbulent Kashmir and indicated willingness to hold dialogue under the framework of \u2019insaniyat (humanity), jamhuriyat (democracy) and \u2018Kashmiriyat\u2019.
