<\/p>\nTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed that the Hyderabad Metro rail project works be completed as early as possible.<\/p>\n
KCR who held a meeting with L&T Metro Chairman S N Subrahmanyan and other officials here, said the state government is ready to extend all cooperation to the firm in the execution of the project.<\/p>\n
It may be noted that majority of the main roads have been dug up for the metro causing great inconvenience to the commuters in city.<\/p>\n

He favoured early completion of works as the Metro rail project would resolve traffic woes in Hyderabad to some extent.<\/p>\n
It was decided at the meeting that the Miyapur-LB Nagar main section of the project be completed by November, 2017 and that the remaining work wrapped up by August, 2018.<\/p>\n
The Hyderabad Metro Rail project is the world’s largest Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the metro sector.<\/p>\n

The metro network would cover a distance of around 72 kms across three corridors in the city.<\/p>\n
Overall, 67 per cent of the total work was completed till September 30, 2016, L&T Metro said in October.<\/p>\n
The project, being built at a cost of Rs 16,375 crore, was initially scheduled to be completed by July, 2017.It has been passing several dead lines.<\/p>\n
They said it will not be from Assembly and Sultan baazar, but now are following the earlier proposal and the route.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
