To my surprise, there he was, personally verifying and correcting his food bill before paying with his credit card \u2014 something so simple, yet it spoke volumes about his character,\u201d Mathews said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWith his trademark humour, Ratan Tata asked me, \u2018Am I chasing you, or are you chasing me?&#8217; That light-hearted comment captured his ability to connect with others, no matter the situation,\u201d recalled Mathews.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was surprising to note that Tata himself was a customer in his hotel.
