Despite strong advantages, and a good economy, we are facing huge challenges.<\/p>\n
We have a heavy burden of debt, which now stands at over Rs. 6.85 lakh crore, as of end of last financial year.<\/p>\n
This includes both budgeted and off-budget borrowings.<\/p>\n
Large loans borrowed in last 10 years, has now created a situation where a significant part of our revenues is used just to repay debt.<\/p>\n
If we don\u2019t manage our loans and interest payment it will slow down our progress. We seek your support in helping us address this problem.<\/p>\n
Give us options to either restructure debt or kindly offer us additional assistance.<\/p>\n
I also strongly place my demand and I speak for all States on this increase allocation of central funds to states from 41 % to 50 %. I promise you, if you can do this, I will take a huge responsibility of Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi\u2019s vision to make India a 5 trillion dollar economy.<\/p>\n
I will make Telangana 1 trillion economy.<\/p>\n
