Commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, a specially curated film festival titled \u201cANR 100 \u2013King Of The Silver Screen\u201d will be held from September 20 to 22,across 25 cities in India.<\/p>\n
The festival is organized by the Film Heritage Foundation (FHF) in association with the National Film Archive of India (NFDC) and PVR INOX.<\/p>\n
The Festival will showcase ten restored classics from the legendary actor\u2019s extensive filmography including iconic films like \u2018Devadasu\u2019(1953), \u2018Missamma\u2019 (1955), \u2018Mayabazar\u2019 (1957), \u2018Bharya Bharthalu\u2019(1961), \u2018Gundamma Katha \u2018(1962), \u2018Doctor Chakravarthi\u2019 (1964),\u2018Sudigundalu\u2019 (1968), \u2018Prem Nagar\u2019 (1971), \u2018Premabhishekam\u2019 (1981),and \u2018Manam\u2019 (2014).<\/p>\n
Popular as ANR or Nata Samrat, Akkineni Nageswara Rao\u2019s illustrious career spanned 71 years and over 250 films, earning him numerous accolades, including the Padma Vibhushan and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.<\/p>\n
The festival will be held across 25 cities, including major metros like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru, as well as smaller cities such as Vadodara, Jalandhar, Rourkela, Warangal, Kakinada, and Tumkur.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
