Hillary Clinton has accused her Republican presidential rival Donald Trump of \u201cstalking\u201d her during their televised debate.<\/p>\n

Mr. Trump often stood closely behind the Democratic nominee glowering as she answered questions from the audience during the town hall-style event in St. Louis.Speaking during an interview on NBC\u2019s The Ellen DeGeneres Show set to air Friday, Ms. Clinton said his movements made her feel \u201creally weird\u201d on stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of the revelation of the public video, and everything that came out on \u2018Access Hollywood,\u2019 you know, he was really all wrought up, and you could just sense how much anger he had,\u201d Ms. Clinton said, referring to a video leaked last week showing Mr. Trump making lewd comments about women.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd so he was really trying to dominate and then literally stalk me around the stage and I would just feel this presence behind me.\u201dMr. Trump rejected criticism about his debate performance at a rally on Monday.<\/p>\n

\"Clinton\"<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I am standing at my podium by my chair. She walks across the room. She\u2019s standing in front of me, right next to me,\u201d he said.\u201cAnd the next day I said what did the papers say? They said, \u2018he invaded her space.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBelieve me,\u201d he added, \u201cThe last space that I want to invade is her space.\u201dLast week\u2019s video showed Mr. Trump boasting in 2005 of groping women with impunity because he was famous, sending the White House race into unprecedented levels of vulgarity.<\/p>\n

Since then, at least six women have accused him of making unwanted physical advances, most of them after Mr. Trump asserted in Sunday’s debate that he had never sexually assaulted a woman.<\/p>\n

\"Hillari\"<\/p>\n

During her interview, Ms. Clinton praised First Lady Michelle Obama for blasting the Republican nominee in a powerful tirade on Thursday.\u201cThe speech that she gave, I think, put into words what so many people are feeling,\u201d Ms. Clinton said. \u201cAnd not just women and girls. Men and boys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms. Clinton also said she didn\u2019t notice making a much-commented shimmy motion during Sunday\u2019s debate when Mr. Trump accused her of not having the \u201cright temperament\u201d to be president.\u201cNow people are always saying, \u2018Do the shimmy, do the shimmy.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
