Patnam Mahendar Reddy today was administered the oath of secrecy as the Minister by Governor Tamilisai here at the Raj Bhavan in the presence of CM K Chandrasekhar Reddy.<\/p>\n
He took oath in Telugu. Ministers Talasani, Prashanth, Harish and others were present in the RajBhavan. He is an MLC and the portfolio will be allocated by this evening.<\/p>\n
The CS Shanti Kumar conducted the proceedings. Mahendar was a former Minister. Mahendar could bend the BRS leaders to his advantage and get the Ministry.<\/p>\n
Mahendar is distantly related to Sabitha Indra Reddy. He has command and control over Vikarabad and Chevella over a period of time. There is a chance of some portfolios this side and that side.<\/p>\n
He served as the Minister of Transport in the first Cabinet of Telangana State. He continued as a Minister till 2018. But in the last general election, he faced defeat in Tandur.<\/p>\n
Later, Mahender Reddy was given the opportunity to become the MLC of the local bodies of the joint Rangareddy district. He won as MLC in June 2019.<\/p>\n
