\u201cBharosa\u201d \u2013Support Center for Women & Children is intended tosupport women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace.<\/p>\n
Women facing physical,sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age,
\nclass, caste, education status, marital status, race and culture are provided with all legal, medical, psychological, sociological and financial support at One-Stop-Bharosa Centre.<\/p>\n
Aggrieved women facing any kind of violence due to attempted sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence,trafficking, honour related crimes, acid attacks or witch-hunting who have
\nreached out or been referred to the Center are provided with specialized services by experienced and trained staff.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Bharosa Support Center of Cyberabad Commissionerate at Medchalwas inaugurated on 27-07-2022. Consists of 1-Psycological Counsellor, 1- Legal support officer 1- ANM, 1- Data Entry operator cum
\nAccountant, 1- Receptionist, 1- Woman SI as incharge to Bharosa support center.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Support center assist in co-ordination with Judiciary in recording 161 CrPC and 164 CrPC Statement. Till now in 97 POCSO cases 161 CrPC statements were recorded and in 89 cases 164 CrPC Statements in the Hon\u2019ble Magistrate Court were recorded with the assistance of Legal Support person.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Conducted 66- Medical Examinations to victims in sexual assaulted cases with assistance of ANM<\/p>\n
\u2022 As the victims undergo mental trauma after the sexual assault in this regard the counsellor has visited 52 victims house in POCSO Act &Rape cases for follow up and psychological support<\/p>\n
\u2022 Conducted 23- Awareness sessions on POCSO Act cases in various public places like schools, colleges, Bus Stand, Railway Station and Bharosa support center. Till now total 2160 members have attended
\nthe awareness sessions.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Government give financial support to the victims. In this regard through Bharosa support center 37 victims (sexually assaulted ) have got compensation for an amount of Rs. 9, 40,000\/- through District Collector Medchal District.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Bharosa Support Center assist the victims also by giving Rs.10,000\/- each for their medical and other expenditure in this regard 06 victims were given financial support altogether Rs. 60,000\/- was
\ngiven till now under victims Assistance Fund.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Victims are also supported under the skill development programmes like Tailoring, Computer skills, beautician etc., under this scheme 03 victims have got benefit till now.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Bharosa support center also assist the family members who are undergoing defamation in the society because of such incidents, in this regard one victim\u2019s daughter was also assisted through Bharosa
\ncenter in getting admission into a Social Welfare Residential School.<\/p>\n
As Bharosa centre at Medchal completes its maiden year, Cyberabad Police through its Women & Children Safety Wing renews its commitment and compassion to assist the victims of sexual offenses and to ensure that there is no double victimization of the victims.<\/p>\n
