\nThe book has been authored by Dr AK Goel, IAS (Retd.), former Advisor to Government of Telangana, Professor Rekha Pande former Head, Department of History & Centre for Women\u2019s Studies, University of Hyderabad, Dr Ravulapati Madhavi, Associate Professor of Law &Head, Centre for Public Administration at DR MCR HRD Institute, and Dr Zareena Parveen, Director, Telangana State Archives & Research Centre.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on this occasion, Sri Benhur Ekka, IAS stated that Dr MCR HRD Institute is not confined merely to imparting training. \u201cThe Institute is equally committed to carry out research and publish books on different aspects of Telangana\u201d, he said and added that the book on Telangana-Land & People, Volume II, would be greatly instrumental in sharpening the understanding of the Telanganites, from across the globe,about their magnificent history and glorious culture. Sri Benhur Ekka, IAS thanked Hon\u2019ble CM Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao for providing generous grants to the Centre for Telangana Studies at the Institute for undertaking a number of initiatives in the domain of training, research, publications, etc.<\/p>\n
\nSmt Anita Rajendra, IAS, Additional Director General of the Institute said that one of the hallmarks of the history of Telangana region is the positive and proactive role played by women in different dynasties during the period covered by the book.<\/p>\n
