Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that Constitution was the main source of our country\u2019s strong unity and integrity in its unique diversity.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor more than seven decades, despite many challenges, Indian Constitution proved to be supreme in ensuring country\u2019s rock solid democratic foundations,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The Governor was addressing at the Constitution Day celebrations at the Raj Bhavan, here, on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan exhorted the people to understand the values and ideals enshrined in our Constitution in its true spirit and added that it guarantees the rights of all, while protecting the vulnerable.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe acceptance and adherence to the Constitutional Values and respecting the Constitutional Offices cannot be selective,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The Governor stated that we must show unquestionable loyalty to our Constitution and Constitutional offices in the true spirit of our Constitution and added that there must not be any hesitation to show that Constitution is the supreme in our country.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ideals enshrined in the Indian Constitution continue to guide us in right path to strive for the creation of the more equal, equitable, inclusive, progressive, prosperous, sustainable, and self-reliant India,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Hon\u2019ble High Court Judge Shri Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili, who spoke on the occasion, stated that duties must be respected by all, while enjoying the rights.<\/p>\n
He emphasised on the creation of better awareness about the Constitution among all sections of the people.<\/p>\n
