There is a chance of sending around ten thousand employees out of Google.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company&#8217;s CEO Sundar Pichai aims to make Alphabet 20 percent more efficient, hinting at job cuts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reports earlier surfaced that Alphabet was giving some workers 60 days to apply for a new role at the company if their jobs are set to be cut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pichai had said the company is &#8220;still investing in long-term projects like quantum computing. But it&#8217;s important &#8220;to be smart, to be frugal to be more efficient&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We&#8217;re committed to taking care of our employees. I think we&#8217;re just working through a tough moment macroeconomically and I think it&#8217;s important we as a company align and work together,&#8221; said Pichai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Google has suspended hiring new employees and reportedly told some existing employees to &#8220;shape up or ship out&#8221; if expectations are not met.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now Google employees are facing the heat.
