AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has responded to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s community-based population imbalance remark.<\/p>\n
“We are using condoms the most,” the MP said, adding that the total fertility rate of Muslims has fallen.<\/p>\n
“Don’t fret, the Muslim population is not increasing, it’s rather falling… Who’s using condoms the most? We are. ” Asaduddin Owaisi was heard saying while addressing a gathering.<\/p>\n
Mohan Bhagwat, while raising the issue of ‘demographic imbalance’, called for a well-thought-out and comprehensive population control policy applicable to all social groups equally.<\/p>\n
He also said that community-based “population imbalance” is an important subject and should not be ignored.<\/p>\n
Giving reference to Quran, he said, “I invite you, Bhagwat Sahab, to read the Qur’an. Allah tells us that killing a foetus is a very big sin. The gap between two pregnancies is done by Muslims and condoms are mostly used by them.<\/p>\n
The AIMIM chief said, “The total fertility rate of Muslims has declined to 2 per cent as per records of the National Family Health survey. If you misrepresent history, then it is your mistake.”<\/p>\n
