Author, former Union Minister, and IPS Retired Sri. P V Rangayya Naidus autobiography \u201cA Youth Quest \u2013 Elite Force to National Politics\u201d was launched at an event in the city on Monday by the
\nDirector General of Police Mahender Reddy.<\/p>\n
The autobiography in English and Telugu is available in hardcover and eBook is a deep dive into the life of the Former IPS officer, and his life as the Director General of Police and as the union minister of India thereafter over the years narrated by the 90-year-old veteran Sri PV Rangayya Naidu himself and written by Ven Meddala.<\/p>\n
The Director General of Police Mr. M Mahender Reddy, who received the first copy of the book, said that it is an inspiring book that stirs inspiration in every one of us, which captures the stupendous, and successful journey of Sri PV Rangayya Naidu in public service.<\/p>\n
Unveiling the book and speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Mr.<\/p>\n
Mahender Reddy said the book was an honest description of one\u2019s life honestly lived with a great deal of service motto, gratitude for whatever had come his way. He has described friends with openness and cited from the book in which the author talks about his life experiences.<\/p>\n
The foreword of the book was penned by M.K Narayan, In his response, the author Sri. PV Rangayya Naidu thanked DGP M Mahender Reddy for being at the function. He recalled how he had joined the IPS
\nand his journey thereafter serving the people of the state of Andhra Pradesh and the nation in different capacities. He said he had served the nation several decades and continued to render services to the people through his charitable trust even at this super senior age actively overseeing the trust work and solving societal problems. He dedicated the book to his wife Smt. Lakshmi Rangayya
\nNaidu.<\/p>\n
The proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the Lakshmi Rangayya Naidu Charitable Trust, which is involved in various activities to take care of the underprivileged sections of the society.<\/p>\n
Palacholla Venkata Rangaiah Naidu IPS, the first IPS officer from the east
\nGodavari district, meticulously brought out the best in each department he served
\nduring his service as a bureaucrat. A recipient of many meritorious awards for
\nserving people as a police officer.<\/p>\n
He joined politics to extend his service to the people of India just before his
\nretirement as a Director General of Police. He was a member of the 10th Lok
\nSabha of India. He represented the Khammam constituency of Andhra Pradesh.
\nDuring his years in politics, he served as the deputy minister for<\/p>\n
Telecommunications and Minister of State for Power and Water Resources.
\nRangayya Naidu, a patriot of the first order, was part of India\u2019s growth story over
\nthe last 90 years.<\/p>\n
His life led him from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to the Indian Police
\nService (IPS) in 1955. After 34 years in the IPS, he achieved the rank of Director
\nGeneral of Police (DGP). Then, in 1991, he took a lateral leap of faith, into politics.
\nImmediately after his voluntary retirement from the IPS, he achieved the near
\nimpossible. He was elected to the 10th Lok Sabha, Government of India, to
\nbecome the Minister for Telecommunications, Power and Water Resources.
\nRangayya Naidu encourages young minds to dream BIG and go for it. This
