Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar IAS said that special programmes are
\nbeing organised on the 22nd of this month as part of the grand finale of the
\nfortnight long Swathanthra Bharatha Vajrotsavalu.<\/p>\n
Chief Secretary visited LB Stadium today and inspected the arrangements
\nbeing made for the event. He said that the Honourable Chief Minister Sri K
\nChandrashekar Rao will be attending the concluding day\u2019s programme at the LB
\nStadium. Participants from all the districts will be attending the programme. He
\ndirected that proper parking arrangements should be made and only valid pass
\nholders will be allowed inside the stadium. The participants brought from the
\ndistricts should be brought early and dropped at the designated point. Special
\nwaterproof shamianas have been erected in case of rain.<\/p>\n
Chief Secretary informed that an audio-visual presentation of all the
\nactivities taken up during the last fortnight will be presented on the occasion. The
\nthree hour long programme will be a grand spectacle of pomp and show. There
\nwill be a performance by renowned singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan on
\nthat day. Artists from within the state will also showcase their talent.<\/p>\n
Later Chief Secretary visited the Book Festival jointly organised by
\nTelangana Sahitya Akademi and Telangana Book Trust. DGP Mahender Reddy,
\nAddl. DG Jitender, GAD Secretary Seshadri, Secretary PR&RD Sandeep Kumar
\nSultania, Commissioner College Education Navin Mittal, GHMC Commissioner
\nLokesh Kumar, Transport Commissioner Jyoti Buddha Prakash, senior police and
\nother officials were present.<\/p>\n
