Liger Vijay explained \u201cFirst of all, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi is one of my favourite films. If at all it had to be remade, everything should fall into place in perfection.<\/p>\n
But I can assure you that I\u2019m not the guy who would do remakes. I wouldn\u2019t do anything even remotely close to a remake,\u201d Vijay said. Vijay adds that Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi is based on the sport of boxing but Liger doesn\u2019t even have the boxing angle and it is based on mixed martial arts.<\/p>\n
Vijay\u2019s response is indeed a strong counter to those spreading rumours that Liger is a remake of Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. Puri also earlier clarified that both movies have mother characters who encourage the sons to be good fighters.<\/p>\n
The movie is getting a good response with the trailers. It is getting released on twenty-fifth and we have to see how the audience will respond to it.<\/p>\n
It is being released on a Pan India basis.<\/p>\n
