In a bid to improve citizen services in the transport department, the government has
\ncomputerized all the services of the department. Citizens are provided with services by
\nfollowing the Citizen\u2019s charter. 59 citizen services are made online with a provision to make
\nonline payment and slot system is followed for all services. All services of the Department
\nare made online. On an average 33,000 transactions take place every day in the transport
\noffices of the State.<\/p>\n
The Transport Department plays a key role in issuing driving licences, Registration of
\nVehicles, Issue of Permits, Collection of Tax, Enforcement of Vehicle Violations and
\nPromotion of Road Safety. The total vehicle strength in Telangana as on 21.07.2022 is
\naround 1.47 Crores and the revenue collected this year so far is Rs.1615 Crore where as last year it was Rs.868 Crore only. Transport Department Collects revenues from issue of driving licenses, registration of motor vehicles, permits and taxes.<\/p>\n
Computerization has enabled faster access, greater transparency and accountability.
\nTo further increase the transparency in service delivery, the department has decided to rely
\nmore on m-Governance through a project called Anywhere Anytime online Services in
\nTransport Department where in the citizen who wants to avail certain RTA Services need not visit RTO Office.<\/p>\n
Further, RTA application has been integrated with T-App folio which is a mobile app
\ndeveloped by Govt. of Telangana for Citizen Services. Artificial Intelligence based Liveness
\nDetection to check whether the Photo received through the smart phone is that of a real
\nperson and not a Photo of a Photo. Machine Learning based Entity Resolution to Check the
\nDemographic attributes like name, fathers name, date of birth and address.<\/p>\n
Deep Learning based Photograph comparison to compare the two photographs. The
\nProject was launched and made operational in a phased manner starting with 5 Services on
\n24-07-2020, 6 more services added on 02-09-2020 and 6 more on 02-01-2021 totalling 17
\nServices. So far 1,13,115 transactions have been recorded under Anywhere Anytime online
\nservices.<\/p>\n
Presently, the online services with regard to ANYWHERE ANYTIME are 1) Issue of
\nDuplicate Learner Licence 2) Issue of Duplicate Licence 3) Issue of Badge 4) Issue of Smart
\nCard in lieu of Surrender of Existing Driving Licence 5) Issue of History Sheet for Licence 6)
\nRenewal of driving licence 7) Change of address in Driving Licence 8) Endorsement of
\nhazardous Licence 9) New Learner licence in place of expired Learner licence 10) Learner
\nlicence for addition of class of vehicle 11) Issue of Learner licence for expired Driving license 12) Change of Address in Registration Certificate 13) Issue of Clearance Certificate within the State of Telangana 14) Issue of New Permit 15) Issue of Duplicate Permit 16) Renewal of Permit 17) Issue of Temporary \/ Special Permit.<\/p>\n
