The Customs and GST, Hyderabad Zone is observing Iconic Week Celebrations under \u2018Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav\u2019 from 06-06-2022 to 11:06 2022. In the light of this celebration, a Seminar was conducted on the topic “Taxation for the Development of the Nation” .<\/p>\n
Chief Guest Dr. Gali Vinod Kumar, Dean Faculty of Law, Osmania and Telengana University spoke about the illustrated journey of indirect taxation in India, the changes it has gone through and how GST has overcome the challenges faced by the previous tax regime.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the members of trade present in the audience, he emphasised upon the role of GST in cooperative federalism and its role in providing the much needed stimulant for economic growth in India by transforming the indirect taxation in the country.<\/p>\n
Chief Commissioner of Customs and GST, Hyderabad Zone, Smt. Siva Naga Kumari speaking to the audience said that our focus should be to make tax administration simple for taxpayers ensuring Ease of doing Business in essence and foresee the issues faced by business community and proactively address them.<\/p>\n
