Mahesh is one of the superstars of Telugu cinema with his films Okkadu, Pokiri, \u201cBusinessman\u201d, \u201cSrimanthudu\u201d, \u201cBharat Ane Nenu\u201d, \u201cMaharshi\u201d and \u201cSarileru Neekevvaru\u201d, said rather than pitching himself as a pan-India actor, his aim was to make movies from South a countrywide success.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always wanted to do Telugu films and wished people across India would watch it. And now when that is happening I\u2019m very happy. I always had this strong opinion that my strength is Telugu films.<\/p>\n
Mahesh said:\u201cI may sound arrogant, I did get a lot of offers in Hindi. But I think they can\u2019t afford me. I don\u2019t want to waste my time.<\/p>\n
