In Delhi, petrol and diesel rates were hiked by 80 paise a litre each, according to a price notification of state fuel retailers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The rates have gone up by seven rupees in the last two weeks time. Even on Ugadi the new year day, the Government did not spare the common man.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A litre of petrol in the national capital will now cost \u20b9 101.81 as against \u20b9 101.01 previously, while diesel will be sold at \u20b9 93.07 from \u20b9 92.27 per litre earlier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Hyderabad petrol per litre costs around Rs 114.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Mumbai, petrol will be retailed at \u20b9 116.72 per litre, while diesel will be sold at \u20b9 100.94 per litre. Among the metro cities, fuel rates are the highest in Mumbai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The prices vary across the states due to value-added tax (VAT).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fuel rates were held steady for over four months despite the spike in crude oil prices. The rate revision had ended on March 22.
