The government sees the Indian economy growing at 8.5 percent in the financial year 2022-23 (FY23).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The GDP growth rate for the ongoing financial year 2021-22 (FY22) is estimated at 9.2 per cent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Economic Survey noted that economic activity has recovered to the pre-pandemic level. It further added that the economy is well placed to take on challenges in 2022-23.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Robust export growth and availability of fiscal space to ramp up capital spending to support growth next fiscal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Agriculture and allied sectors are expected to grow by 3.9 per cent in 2021-22. The Services sector is estimated to grow by 8.2 per cent in the ongoing financial year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The gross domestic product (GDP) contracted by 7.3 per cent in 2020-21.
