Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will greet Dalits at Pragathi Bhavan this morning and create awareness among them on the proposed Dalit Bandhu scheme to get Rs 10 lakh as a grant.<\/p>\n
It will be a day-long seminar here at the Pragathi Bhavan where the Dalits will have lunch with the Chief Minister KCR.<\/p>\n
Dalitha Bandhu scheme, which will be launched initially in Huzurabad as a pilot project, should emerge as a role model for Telangana and the entire country as an exercise to eradicate social and financial discrimination of Dalits. \u201cWith commitment, we will strive to implement the scheme successfully,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
KCR advised every Dalit to work for the successful implementation of the scheme. \u201cA KCR should be born in every Dalit habitat after the implementation of the scheme,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The light that emerges from the successful implementation of the scheme in Huzurabad should reflect and extend all over Telangana as well as the entire country. The development of Dalits should be taken up in the same spirit as the separate Statehood movement was, he said.<\/p>\n
The people of Telangana have just started to live life after facing various types of problems in the last 100 years under kings, jagirdars, zamindars, landlords and colonial rulers.<\/p>\n
\u201cTelangana is now on the right path as we are trying to set right all the sectors,\u201d the Chief Minister said, adding: \u201cApprehensions were raised when the Statehood movement was launched, but we achieved it.<\/p>\n
