The father and son have a glass wall between them, that is what the Rishi family members have revealed in an interview.One was a great hero now the other is a big hero.<\/p>\n

In an episode of Rendezvous with Simi Garewal with Rishi Kapoor and his wife Neetu Kapoor. The couple spoke about their lives together, Rishi\u2019s innate ability to bully and his not-so-close relationship with his superstar son Ranbir Kapoor.<\/p>\n

Rishi said that despite there being much love between the father and son, there was often a semblance of a \u2018glass wall\u2019 the two. \u201cWe can see each other but not feel anything,\u201d he said. Rishi attributes it to the relationship he shared with his father and hero, Raj Kapoor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a fear of my father. I was in awe of him. I had great respect for him. It took him a long time to say have a drink in front of me. I used to call him \u2018sahab\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rishi also admitted to being overly analytical of his son\u2019s performance. So much so that he doesn\u2019t watch his movies. \u201cI don\u2019t watch his films. I have stopped watching his films. I become very analytical of him and therefore I don\u2019t follow the film, just his acting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Needless to say, the two don\u2019t discuss the Ranbir\u2019s films either. Given a choice however, he would\u2019ve had an opinion about Barfi and Rocket Singh. \u201cIf I were his manager, I\u2019d have asked him to not to do Barfi. I am glad he did it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ranbir moving out of the house however, seems to have worked for the two. \u201cNow that we don\u2019t live under one roof, there\u2019s more communication. But he talks to his mother more than me. But I don\u2019t think Ranbir will be a father like me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neetu attests to the fact the two are awkward when she isn\u2019t around. \u201cThey need me to break the ice,\u201d she says. Recounting an incident, she adds, \u201cI was away for a few days and Ranbir was home. I kept calling him to ask how\u2019re you doing. He said \u2018I\u2019m fine, I\u2019m having dinner with papa\u2019 and all that.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo when I got back, I was like how was it? He said, \u2018We had a few quiet moments.<\/p>\n

Koi baat hi nahin huyi. Hum dinners pe jaate thhe aur khana khate thhe.\u2019 I have to be there in the house for a conversation to happen between them.\u201d<\/p>\n
