The Governor of Tamilnadu Dr Tamilisai appreciated the efforts of the Dr. Reddy\u2019s Laboratories for partnering with the DRDO in coming out with the indigenous drug-like 2DG anti-Covid drug.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe development of indigenous 2DG drug is in the true spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat and vocal for local mandate given by Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan urged the Dr. Reddy\u2019s Laboratory to expedite the vaccine production in our country and ensure the availability of the vaccine doses to maximum number of people at the earliest so to protect our people from the pandemic.<\/p>\n
The representatives of the Dr. Reddy\u2019s Laboratories informed the Governor that by end of July, they would get 2 crore doses of vaccine consignments from Russia.<\/p>\n
They stated that efforts were on to produce the vaccine in five Indian sites with collaborative efforts. They were confident to make 15 to 20 crore doses of vaccine available during the next six months through imports and manufacturing within the country. \u201cThe equitable allocation of vaccine will be ensured to all the States in our country,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n
