CM K Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed the Covid vaccination program in Telangana. He took note of the meagre allocation of Covid vaccine to the state. He spoke to Hon\u2019ble PM requesting to provide minimum 2 lakh doses per day.<\/p>\n
\u2219 In the light of the low allocation of vaccine till May 15th (4.69 lakh of Covishield and 2.16 lakh of Covaxin) and in order to optimally utilize the available doses, a special drive has been launched to cover people who are eligible for 2nd dose.<\/p>\n
\u2219 Those persons who are eligible for taking a second dose of vaccine will be provided vaccination at government Covid vaccination centres.<\/p>\n
\u2219 The eligibility period for taking the second dose will be 6 weeks for Covishield and 4 weeks for Covaxin from date of taking first dose.<\/p>\n
\u2219 All persons eligible for the second dose will be permitted to take the vaccine by spot registration by showing their certificate of partial vaccination.<\/p>\n
\u2219 No vaccine will be given for the first dose to any person.<\/p>\n
\u2219 The above arrangement will apply for 8th to 12th May (except Sunday, 9th May).<\/p>\n
