DCP Traffic Sri SM Vijay Kumar, IPS in his address said the Cyberabad Police is focussing on two major concerns of the Majority of the Accidents \u2013 Bikers and Pedestrians Out of the total number of accidents that are taking place 60 to 70% are of the Bikers and Pedestrians.<\/p>\n
It is noticed that Bikers do not follow the lane discipline, do not wear high quality helmets, drive in a zig zag way in the heavy traffic, drive very closely to the heavy vehicles, enter the high way without proper observation, etc.,<\/p>\n
Majors observations about the Helmet;<\/p>\n
No Helmet \u2013 not wear properly \u2013 easily breakable \/ non standard Helmet \u2013 Pillion rider not wearing helmet Pillion Riders are mostly meeting with fatal accidents as they do not wear the helmets. By wearing the Good Quality Helmet we can save one life per day that is 365 lives per year and 365 Families which are dependant on them.<\/p>\n
To Counter this the Cyberabad Traffic Police has set up Seven Check posts with dedicated Teams working 24×7 who\u2019s work is not to allow any Two Wheeler to drive without wearing Proper Helmet by both the Rider and the Pillion Rider \u2013 which is giving good results and helped in reducing the Fatal Accidents. For Pedestrian Safety the Cyberabad Traffic Police is coordinating with GHMC and they have already set up Four Road Crossing exclusively for Pedestrians.<\/p>\n
GHMC & CTP have introduced Comprehensive Road Maintenance Program ( CRMP ) which is a PPP Module under which the Pedestrian Safety measures like; Construction of Foot Paths, Foot Over Bridges, Road Cross Markings, Sign Boards, etc., are been taken up. And about 14 new FOBs and 31 Exclusive Pedestrian Road Crossings are going to come very soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
