The train was submerged last night and there was no way passengers would come out of the train.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nIn a 10 hour long operation the NDRF teams, Army and the local people struggled to evacuate the passengers apart from a dozen pregnant women.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ulhas river overflowed and the train had no way forward. The passengers were stranded for about 18 hours. The IAF, Navy and NDRF teams rescued the passengers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It can be called a dramatic rescue operation. All the passengers in the Mahalaxmi express are safe and are reaching the destination by way of a special train.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More rain is expected for Monday and it has to be seen how many trains would be cancelled in the process.
