{"id":16957,"date":"2016-09-22T13:08:26","date_gmt":"2016-09-22T13:08:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=16957"},"modified":"2016-09-22T13:08:26","modified_gmt":"2016-09-22T13:08:26","slug":"war-between-jio-and-airtel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/war-between-jio-and-airtel\/","title":{"rendered":"War between Jio and Airtel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel continue to be at loggerheads with the Mukesh Ambani-led firm now alleging that more than two crore calls are failing daily between the two networks due to insufficient number of interconnection points provided by Bharti Airtel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, Bharti Airtel hit back denying all allegations, stating that deficiencies in Reliance Jio\u2019s own network are causing the call failures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alleging that the country\u2019s largest telecom operator was abusing its leadership position, Reliance Jio said: \u201cIt appears that the quality of service will continue to suffer and Indian customers will be denied the benefits of superior and free voice services as a result of such anti-competitive behaviour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images.indianexpress.com\/2016\/09\/giphy.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jio\u2019s statement follows Airtel\u2019s announcement on Saturday committing to additional point of interconnect (PoIs) to Jio, sufficient to serve over 15 million customers.\u2018<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, Jio said that the quantum of POIs proposed to be released by Airtel is \u201csubstantially less\u201d than the requirement. \u201cBased on the current traffic flow between the two networks, the proposed augmentation by Airtel would still only suffice for less than one-fourth of the required interconnection capacity,\u201d Jio\u2019s statement said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16958\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/5548057120_3def29b503_z-copy.jpg\" alt=\"jio\" width=\"550\" height=\"369\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It added that \u201c\u2026two crore calls are failing everyday between the two networks as Airtel dilly-dallies on adequate PoIs to Jio.
