{"id":154904,"date":"2018-07-10T15:28:24","date_gmt":"2018-07-10T09:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=154904"},"modified":"2018-07-10T15:28:24","modified_gmt":"2018-07-10T09:58:24","slug":"kcr-to-sc-for-61-reservations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/kcr-to-sc-for-61-reservations\/","title":{"rendered":"KCR to SC for 61% reservations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao has announced that the interim orders of the High Court that in the Panchayat Raj elections the reservations should not exceed 50% will be appealed in the Supreme Court by the government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chief Minister has decided that the government would appeal to the Supreme Court that the earlier permission of the Supreme Court to implement 61% reservation in Telangana including 34% reservation to the backward classes to be reinstated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/DE15-SUPREMECOURTOFINDIAa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-154910\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/DE15-SUPREMECOURTOFINDIAa.jpg\" alt=\"SUPREMECOURT\" width=\"627\" height=\"416\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chief Minister has instructed the cabinet subcommittee to meet on Wednesday and do necessary exercise for filing a petition in Supreme Court. The Chief Minister suggested that the additional advocate general, as well as all concerned officers, are also to be invited to the cabinet sub-committee meeting and discuss thoroughly the pro\u2019s and con\u2019s of the issue and finalize the strategy to present the argument in the court and the necessity to implement 61%reservation in Telangana Panchayat Raj Institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chief Minister criticized that the Congress party filed the petition through its party sarpanch Swapna Reddy opposing the 34% reservation for backward classes and thus obstructing reservation for them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chief Minister made it clear that the state government is fully committed to providing 34% reservation to Backward Classes and the necessary legal battle will be fought to achieve this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao has announced that the interim orders of the High Court that in the Panchayat Raj elections the reservations should not exceed 50% will be appealed in the Supreme Court by the government.
