The shareholders of the company approved the same. The 61-year-old has been on board of the RIL since 1977 and has taken over as the Chairman after the death of his father. His father died in July 2002.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company has put a resolution to re-appoint Ambani for a period of 5 years. Out of the votes polled for resolution, 98.5 per cent were in favour of Ambani for a term of another 5 years. Only about 1.48 per cent is against him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/mukesh_anil_ambani_20100602.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-154432\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/mukesh_anil_ambani_20100602.jpg\" alt=\"mukesh_anil_ambani_\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mukesh Ambai will be paid an annual salary of 4.17 crore and Rs59 lakh for perquisites and other allowances. Retirement benefits are not included in the remuneration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The shareholders have authorised the board to raise about Rs 20000 crore for the year 2018-2019.
