\nThe purpose of the job is to ensure that plant instrumentation systems are installed as per plant layout \/ design & engineering parameters, and tested successfully during the commissioning phase; and operated in accordance with SOPs during operations phase with periodical maintenance tasks as required.<\/p>\n
During project phase, he\/she:<\/p>\n
will assist, prepare, check, approve Instruments, P&ID’s, Instrument datasheets, calculation, requisitions and scope of work subcontract
\nwill control systems specifications, auxiliary systems and safeguarding thereof
\nwill review logic diagrams
\nwill oversee schematics, house specifications and hook-ups
\nwill review contractors performance against the project timelines and initiate corrective actions if any required
\nwill undertake other project related activities as required \/ as assigned<\/p>\n
During operations phase, he\/she:<\/p>\n
formulate a plan, review and analyze preventive maintenance strategy for the equipment instrumentation in order to achieve highest efficiency of the activities for reliable and safe operation.
\nprovide troubleshooting and corrective action of instrument breakdown or failures to find the root cause and best solution in order to restore the functionality back to normal.
\nattend to technical query by operations personnel and provide advice\/solution.
\nmonitor spare parts and inventory for critical instrumentation to ensure availability when required in order to minimize production interruption.
\nidentify, study, propose, and implement area for improvement in the field of instrumentation engineering to enhance operation and improve total equipment reliability.
\ndevelop the plan, scope and lead the execution of shutdown works for instrumentation to ensure completion within the specified window.
\nforecast and prepare budget for instrument related activities
