Union Home Ministry&#8217;s current list is an all-time high despite PM Modi&#8217;s firm drive against a VIP culture, and senior officers said the government is looking at reviewing and trimming it soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Some politicians are being provided security by NSG and also the paramilitary so some of them will lose their NSG cover,&#8221; a senior ministry official said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-106528 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/pm_security-1-650_100814094037.jpg\" alt=\"Security to be trimmed for VVIPs\" width=\"650\" height=\"288\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bihar politician Lalu Yadav who is guarded by both the elite National Security Guard (NSG) and the paramilitary CRPF, is no more a lawmaker and rarely moves out of his state now and his security is being reviewed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh of the BJP, M Karunanidhi, the 93-year-old leader of Tamil Nadu party the DMK, who is ill and barely moves out of his home, the security will be reviewed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Narendra Modi government is all set to trim the security of VVIPs soon.
