{"id":100517,"date":"2017-07-27T20:08:45","date_gmt":"2017-07-27T14:38:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/?p=100517"},"modified":"2017-07-27T20:08:45","modified_gmt":"2017-07-27T14:38:45","slug":"money-laundering-case-against-lalu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/money-laundering-case-against-lalu\/","title":{"rendered":"Money laundering case against Lalu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Removed from power by Nitish Kumar, RJD supremo Lalu Yadav plans to launch a counter assault on his former ally but looks cornered at the moment as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has slapped a fresh case against him.<\/p>\n<p>PTI reports that the ED has registered a case of money-laundering against Lalu and his family members in the railwayhotel allotment scndal.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-100519 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greattelangaana.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Lalu-Rabri-pti-660.jpg\" alt=\"Lalu, Rabri Devi \" width=\"660\" height=\"440\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a corruption case against Lalu, Rabri Devi and Tejaswi Yadav, former Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Managing Director PK Goyal and the wife of Lalu&#8217;s confidante Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata, on allegations of awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation of hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged that Lalu as Railways Minister in 2006 transferred two hotels under the IRCTC in Ranchi and Puri to Sujata Hotel Pvt Ltd, by violating tender rules.<br \/>\nTejaswi, who is named in the CBI FIR against Lalu and his family, has claimed he was only 14 when the deal was struck.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Removed from power by Nitish Kumar, RJD supremo Lalu Yadav plans to launch a counter assault on his former ally but looks cornered at the moment as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has slapped a fresh case against him.
